Pos Digicert Hosts Digital Trust Symposium 2024, Showcases eCredentia for Secure Digital Transformation

Pos Digicert, a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia Bhd and a leader in digital identity solutions, successfully hosted the Digital Trust Symposium 2024 at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Bangsar South today
Under the theme ‘Delivering Trust in the Digital Nation,’ the symposium gathered industry professionals, technology experts, business leaders, government officials, and partners to explore innovative digital solutions.
The symposium opened with a welcome address by Charles Brewer, Group CEO of Pos Malaysia, who remarked, “Pos Digicert is modernising operations across both private and government sectors through secure digital certificates, eKYC solutions, and digital signature platforms.
“Our comprehensive solutions not only enhance operational efficiency but also empower businesses to advance their digitisation efforts, embracing the future of secure digital operations.”
He continued, “We are fully aligned with Malaysia’s vision of becoming a digitally powered economy. Our commitment extends beyond compliance; it’s driven by a deep passion for building trust that connects lives and businesses for a better tomorrow.
“Through secure digital interactions, we aim to create an environment where businesses can innovate and flourish, equipped to navigate the evolving digital landscape.”
Attendees included Amir Suhaimi Hassan, COO of Pos Digicert, and a panel of industry leaders such as Dasuki Majid, CEO of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), Rajifah Ramli, Co-Founder & CEO of Data8 Sdn. Bhd., Ts. Ahmad Sauqi Ishak, Director of the IT Department at Inland Revenue Board Malaysia, and Mohd Fairus Muhamad, Head of Digital Usage Transformation at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

The event also marked the launch of Pos Digicert’s new digital product, eCredentia, which allows secure verification of academic and professional credentials, strengthening trust and transparency in education and employment.

As part of the programme, eight organisations were honoured with the Digital Transformation Excellence Award, recognising their achievements in driving Malaysia’s digital transformation.
